Appointments.

Please telephone 320 3131 and select option 1 for appointments during normal surgery hours.

Alternatively we now offer the ability to book your appointments with the doctor online (nurse appointments still need to be made in person or on the telephone).  To register for online appointments please speak to a member of staff.

If you have already registered for Online Appointments and wish to make an appointment please click here.

Surgeries take place throughout the day and are by appointment only.

You can book a routine appointment any time up to four weeks in advance. However, to try and balance the need for appointments for acute problems, we keep a number of appointments back that can be booked on the day.

We aim to see medically urgent cases the same day, although in this case you may not be able to specify which clinician you see. This does not include issuing sick notes or other non-medical matters. Please be prepared to explain the problem to the receptionist so that she can give you priority when making your appointment.

For routine cervical smear tests, blood pressure checks, smoking cessation advice, contraceptive pill checks and emergency contraception, please book an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses who are all fully trained to provide these services.

When your usual doctor is on holiday or otherwise absent, cover for appointments and home visits is usually provided by one of the other partners in the practice.  However, on occasion you may be required to see a locum doctor in the surgery, or you may receive a home visit from a deputising doctor who is employed by the Primary Care Trust to do visits on their behalf.

Please help us to help you by providing as much information as possible to the receptionist. This will enable us to book you an appointment with the most appropriate person within the most appropriate time frame.
