Practice Nurses.
Practice Nurses are mainly involved in caring for patients with chronic illnesses, eg asthma, diabetes, hypertension or heart disease. They are also involved in health promotion, eg dietary advice and smoking cessation, and are all fully trained to provide contraceptive services. They are also available to give travel advice and injections. The nurses see patients by appointment only.
